Green information technology (IT) has been broadly defined as the energy savings by IT, including the environmentally responsible use of computers and related IT resources. Such practices include the implementation of energy-efficient CPUs, servers, data storage devices and peripherals as well as reduced resource consumption and proper disposal of e-waste, etc. In energy savings by IT, these include the use of intelligent IT devices for smart energy control to help in terms of energy savings in buildings, transport, industrial sectors etc. Read more
