The country’s oldest bank Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad (Standard Chartered) has begun its ‘extended’ Earth Hour 2012 celebration. Starting Monday 26 March, the Bank turns off the lights at its Head Office at Menara Standard Chartered on Jalan Sultan Ismail and its 40 branches nationwide, a week earlier than the 31 March global celebration. First Certified Sustainability Practitioner workshop for Japanese Managers held in Tokyo, Japan
SustainaVision Ltd, in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) hosted for the first time in Tokyo, Japan its global Training Program “Certified Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner” on February 23&24 2012. Participants included managers from global Japanese organizations and institutions including Kirin Brewery Company, Sumitomo Corporation, Hitachi Solutions, Nippon Foundation, and Housei University. At the invitation of the Western Visayas Local Committee on Sight Preservation and with the generous sponsorship of FedEx Corp., ORBIS International landed its flagship Flying Eye Hospital – a converted DC-10 aircraft and the world’s only ophthalmic surgical and training hospital with wings – in Iloilo, Philippines.
