Medline Industries, Inc., as part of its renewed commitment to leadership in green healthcare, worked with the Center for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) to complete a baseline Carbon Footprint study of its Polypropylene (PP) product line.

The scope of the project involved measuring the greenhouse gases emitted during the sourcing of raw materials and transportation, and included the manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of the final product. The study took into account all three scopes of operations, as recognized by the WRI GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and PAS 2050 Standard.  To support Medline’s initiative to mitigating its impact on the atmosphere, CSE provided feedback on the PP’s great impact categories. Medline is committed to mitigating its environmental impacts, while focusing on climate change and will use the results of the study to improve the impact of current and future operations.

CSE’s long standing global experience in Carbon Footprint Strategy and GHG Emission reduction programs helped to address Medline’s product line under correct frameworks.
