The Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) is collaborating with Evolution Mind Power Asia (EMP) on the World Corporate Social Responsibility Symposium 2010 (WCSR 2010) scheduled to be held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between the 12-15 October 2010.
The symposium will consist of a two-day conference on sustainability and corporate social responsibility and, in addition, a two-day Accredited CSR Practitioner Training Masterclass which will be delivered by CSE.
Creating a Virtuous Marketplace Towards a Sustainable Future
As a global leader in corporate sustainability, having trained over 5,000 professionals on sustainability and corporate responsibility, CSE will introduce leading international frameworks and guidelines for implementing effective CSR strategies, campaigns, and reporting to enhance financial and non-financial performances of an organization. The masterclass will also offer professionals the opportunity to earn an official business qualification in Sustainability and achieve Certified CSR Practitioner (CSR-P) status. At present, more than 100 CSR Practitioners from five continents and over 18 countries are qualified to implement the most current methodologies on CSR Strategy and Reporting, Stakeholder Engagement, CSR Program Management.
Corporate Social Responsibility is changing the way businesses operate around the world. It is a driving factor that is shaping corporate strategies towards a sustainable future. Approximately 80% of the top global brands are actively contributing towards CSR efforts, while many companies are still at the threshold of their CSR initiatives.
Business is no longer just about profitability, it is about the culture to create a virtuous marketplace. CSR involves efforts to manage the impact of organisations to add company value and to improve social, environmental and economic well-being.”
WCSR 2010 will provide participants valuable insights on how to overcome the challenge of leveraging between profitability and compassion to effectively lead organisations towards greater sustainability and market value.
