MS&L Singapore, part of MS&LGroup, a leader in public relations and events communications firms, announced recently that it has been appointed the official communications partner for the non-profit organization Conservation International Singapore, on a pro bono basis.
Conservation International works in more than 40 countries on four continents, helping multi-national companies and governments adopt a more sustainable approach to development. In Asia Pacific, Conservation International Singapore is the organization’s Global Outreach Center for the region and MS&L Singapore will support these efforts for a year with pro bono communications services, drawing upon the Singapore office’s strength in corporate and sustainability communications. MS&LGroup also has global agency expertise in this sector, formally established in 2007 through the MS&LGroup ECO network, an award winning specialty consulting and communications unit focused on environmental and sustainability communications.
Commenting on the partnership Yvonne Koh, Managing Director, Southeast Asia, MS&L said:
At MS&L, supporting the communities we operate in is an essential part of our own commitment to corporate responsibility. By formalizing our Singapore pro bono communications effort and drawing upon the best practices from our many non-profit client partnerships, we are excited to announce this commitment to Conservation International Singapore.
She added:
Conservational International Singapore was present at last year’s Global Social Innovators Forum and their sustainability mission struck a chord with our staff. We hope to enable Conservation International Singapore to communicate their vital work to its stakeholders and contribute to the sustainable development of Singapore and Asia as a whole for the long term.
Over the course of the partnership, MS&L Singapore will work with Conservation International Singapore to raise its profile as a leader in environmental sustainability conservation, including increasing awareness amongst the business community of its corporate engagement sustainability initiatives, such as the Asia-Pacific Business & Sustainability Council (APBSC).
Landy Eng, Managing Director, Conservation International Singapore said:
MS&L Singapore has a reputation of delivering first class communications programs and we are thrilled to be working with them. With their expertise, we can push important issues such as haze, food and freshwater security, and biodiversity to the forefront of the public agenda in Singapore and Asia overall.
MS&LGroup offices worldwide have a rich history of engaging in pro bono work and have been recognised for delivering world class not-for-profit campaigns. Last year, MS&L Hong Kong received the 2009 “Not for Profit Campaign of the Year in Asia” award at the Holmes Report’s SABRE awards for its work with the Lions Club International on Fund Promotion of Global Campaign SightFirst II in Asia and Humanitarian Services in China.
