Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Malaysian Prime Minister, has urged corporate citizens to help reduce and eradicate hardcore poverty. Bernama reports her as saying that the effort could be achieved through strategic corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes and implemented according to their capabilities.

Rosmah was at a cheque presentation at Agro Bank aid recently at which she was reported to have also said that such social contributions would also forge bonds of friendship and bridge the gap between corporate citizens and those in dire needs of help.

At the event, Rosmah presented a donation of RM100,000 to 121 single mothers, orphans, Muslim converts, kindergarten children, and several schools and surau.
